If you as a parent do not want your child to read about something, that is your job as a parent to oversee their reading. It should absolutely not affect what children who are not yours are reading.

I got into an argument with myself, and I seem to be losing... Not sure how to feel about this.

there are two kinds of writers:

those who write pages of bantering dialogue and realize they didn't describe anything in the scene

and those who write pages of detailed description and realize no one's spoken for eight pages

sometimes i feel like we need a word other than "art" to describe the _craft_ of creating visual art. i cant critique any of my own work or processes without someone kindly telling me that "there's no wrong way to do art!"

Reminder- using reference for art is NOT cheating. Depending on what type of artist you are, you should absolutely be using it. All highly skilled pro artists I know use it.

Art isn't a party trick, we don't have to be in the business of impressing ppl with the process. Don't hold yourself back.
