I'm no scout, but I would say that Jiricek is used to his excellent offensive instincts making up for his deficiencies in skating + on defense.

He had the tendency to make some bad reads + often couldn't skate well enough to recover, even against bottom 6ers.

Absolute dynamite in the AHL though.
