Back in January, Siva Anandaciva sat down with the Bishop of London to explore her career journey from Chief Nursing Officer to Bishop, and the role that faith groups can play in tackling health inequalities.

@patientsafetylearning.org did you know this?
Wow! Doctors can advertise as specialist consultants without being on a specialist register with the GMC if they are working in a private healthcare capacity. Shouldn’t private healthcare operate by the same rules as the NHS on qualification? Transparency for pt safety @patientsassoc.bsky.social
A country without democracy is just an idiotocracy.
“clearly, more women appointed to leadership positions could drive transformative change in these biased systems.”

AMAZING! A GROUNDBREAKING sickle cell disease treatment has been APPROVED for NHS use. Exagamglogene (exa-cel) SUCCESSFULLY edits the faulty gene in a patient’s OWN stem cells. Researchers concluded there was a functional cure in 97% of trial participants that received it! Let’s talk about that! 🧪🧵⬇️
Congratulations and wishing you a great year of cultural events #Bradford2025
Hello Bradford! I’ll back in my hometown soon to share in this year of its appreciation ❤️
We can still see it here in the UK. The page has moved and you get this at first…
Friendly reminder that tuberculosis isn’t an “1800s disease” and is in fact THE infectious disease that kills the most people in the 21st century. It is preventable, treatable, and curable, and yet it still kills over 1.2 million people a year because we don’t put the resources where the disease is.
Health research is one of those functions that if you stop it, people will not notice the impact tomorrow, or next month. This makes it hard to communicate its value, unlike, closed national parks during a shutdown. But it generates big public goods. Once that community is eroded, hard to recover.
A science attack begins.
The US funds health research and global public health work outside the US too. From WHO to UNAIDS to wider research grants. Research that has supported global progress on communicable diseases such as HIV.

NHS workforce statistics lay bare the extent of the movement towards hospital based care. And we wonder why the hospitals are stacking up.
Brilliantly simple to implement and warrants taking the small amount of time
😂😂😂 thread 🙌🏻
Looking for a great overview of the evidence on scale-up and sustainability of innovation and improvement in healthcare? Here you go - part of the open access @thisinstitute.bsky.social series and authored by the mighty @trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social and team. www.cambridge.org/core/element...
Agree with the commenter. Whilst this is all unsettling, at least it’s more crystal clear than ever which corporations and people humanity is up against.
🙂 ok 👍
Not a zeitgeist for the next big digital shifts. Captures what’s needed for high quality primary care in a digital age. Its call to base financial incentives on holistic integrated care should be amplified & would best enable digital universal care plans. @trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social
Useful principles from which to design impactful interventions.
So much of healthcare and public health stops at the point of screening and harvesting data. Health improvement requires applied behaviour change thinking …designing-in the methods that support individuals to take action.
I’ve seen lived experience transform services, shape decisions for the better and reprioritise what needs to change. Great work here by Paul Jones to go further into the different methods and applications.
Then hopefully they all bog off to the moon.
Where they meet a giant alien called Tusk 😉 who is extremely anti human. Tusk complains about all the interplanetary migration and space crossings. Moon deportations commence.
Brilliant piece George. What do you think is the end game? Presumably the left abandons the valueless platform altogether? The remainers form a global digital far right collective via X? Full globalisation and mobilisation of the far right by megalomaniacs? 1/2
