I gave each paperback a quick flip through while I was unpacking them, and the only "damage" I found was one page of Casino Royale that was folded over (bearable) & one other book that had a "Proud Parent of a U.S. Marine" stick inside. (Kinda weird, but hey, Semper Fi & Thank You For Your Service.)
Still to come: The Quantum of Solace paperback collection of all of Fleming's short stories of James Bond, which IIRC came out around 2008-ish so that Penguin had a book by the title of QAUNTUM OF SOLACE to market while the movie was in theaters.
3/12 Update: My Bond paperbacks arrived today, in good condition as advertised. These were the same editions I had before, so I happy I’ve regained a bit more of my past collection for a reasonable price. 🙂
Look, folks--I don't know what to tell you. There's no justification for bigotry and threats against creators--or guess what, anyone! And that includes when something happens in a comic book.
I expect a duet with Aimee Mann out of this.
Most things do.
...Those aren't the words?

The Singularity is upon us: Apple's AI summarized a text message that read "I'm still down to clown if you are" to.... "clown event still possible."
He didn't respond to the criticism. He just basically said, "I gave you a job 30 years ago. Therefore you should give me a pass for eternity."
And please show the @snlnerds.bsky.social page some love too, would ya? Thanks.
Oh hey, I just noticed I’ve gone up to 3.7k followers! Cool.
Thanks to all of you who choose to follow my nonsense. Especially you bots who are just pointlessly increasing my follower count. You’re my favorites.
It's shaping up to be a good mystery. I liked seeing events from the first episode with additional context/other POVs, and there were some good twists and turns.
OK, i was so-so on the first episode, but I just finished the second ep, and now I'm hooked. #DTFStLouis is excellent, and I look forward to seeing the rest.
Have you watched the documentary about her, The Green Girl? Good stuff.
Wow, I've never seen this picture before!
I always thought they should’ve had Michael Dorn be the voice of the Captain of the Klingon ship at the very end. Not appearing onscreen or anything, just an audio Easter egg for folks who’d notice.
You’ll also notice that Stan REALLY slowed down the time progression after John Romita took over the book. Several issues could depict the events of a single day.
And yes, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko had Peter Parker age from high school up to college in the first few years of the book, but I doubt they would’ve done that if they’d known Spider-Man would be around for more than 5-10 years. Most other genres cycled through in that timeframe.
Yeah, I don’t get the people who want superheroes to age in real time. They’re not real, so why should we age them like they are? Neither Dick Grayson nor Peter Parker makes much sense to me if they’re over 24 or so.
Important science stuff. #StarTrek
"Sorry, folks. America's closed for repairs. The Moose out front shoulda told ya."
AFAIK, it was just "The legend of Superman became distorted over time, and by the 30th Century, they thought there was a Superboy."
And that’s a wrap on the #RyanGosling #Gorillaz episode of #SNL! Thoughts? Comments? Is the Goo Goo Man a sex thing? Drop us a comment and we’ll read it on the next episode of #SNLNerds

This credits/title splash page for the story "The Final Hand!" comes from near the end of the Bronze Age, as Crisis on Infinite Earths is only a few years away.
Yeah, I had these editions before, but I lost them a few years back. It’ll be nice to own them again. I love the Richie Fahey covers!
Proving once again that it's dangerous for me to be online late at night, I just made an impulse buy of Penguin's early 2000s editions of Ian Fleming's James Bond novels on eBay. It was a good price, though, so I hope they're in as good condition as advertised.
Same. My first Tintin was their serialization of The Seven Crystal Balls. I believe Children's Digest came to an end before they could do Prisoners of the Sun, though, which is how I got started on the books.
“…And Blue Beetle, who is here also.”
