Because of Republicans' manufactured healthcare crisis, some Pennsylvanians will pay more for their insurance than their mortgage. Their cruelty doesn't stop.

You deserve healthcare that's affordable and accessible, and that's exactly what we're fighting for.

We know that what we do right now has real impacts on real people, so I want to hear from you––what does healthcare in this country mean to you? Why is it so important that we fight right now?

Right now, the unemployment rate is 4.3%, but for Black women it's a staggering 6.7%. Over 320,000 Black women have lost their jobs from the federal govt to the private sector.

This systematic targeting of Black women is intentional. It's devastating for our communities, economy, and our country.

While Trump and Republicans are spinning lies to fit their narrative, we're fighting to make sure you can go to the doctor without going into debt.

Here's the real truth about what's going on with this government shutdown.

I'm wishing all of our Jewish neighbors and community in Pennsylvania and across the country an easy fast as they observe Yom Kippur.

Republicans would rather shut down the government than extend healthcare tax credits for working families across the country.

Thousands of people in PA-12 rely on these tax credits to keep their insurance more affordable. Now they could see a spike in costs.

GOP Official Calls for Democratic Congresswoman to Be Executed As the nation talks about the rise of political violence, a Republican official blatantly called for Representative Pramila Jayapal to be hanged.

This dangerous and disgusting threat against @jayapal.house.gov is the political violence people like this state legislator claim to denounce.

Anyone, including elected officials, must be held accountable for rhetoric like this.

Removing bus stops from the Waterfront disregards the needs of thousands of riders—working people, seniors, people with disabilities, families, and caregivers—who depend on this lifeline every single week. Forcing riders to walk across vast parking lots and unsafe roadways, often while carrying groceries, walking with children, or navigating mobility challenges, is not only unjust, but also dangerous. As someone who grew up riding these busways, it’s clear this decision was not made with the public in mind. When we allow private interests to dictate access to essential services, it is our most vulnerable neighbors who inevitably pay the price. My team and I will continue to work with all stakeholders to find a solution and get these stops restored. Public transportation must remain safe, reliable, and accessible to everyone. I stand in solidarity with Pittsburghers for Public Transit and with every community member demanding the immediate reversal of this harmful and shortsighted decision.

Republicans want to make the housing crisis a partisan issue but they control the White House and Congress. They have the opportunity to propose solutions that address the underlying causes.

They're all talk without a plan or policy to help everyday people.

The grief and outrage of the families of American citizens killed and detained by Israeli forces was palpable. I'm grateful for their advocacy driven by the hope that more families do not experience the same pain.

We cannot have different systems of treatment for one group of folks over another.

Leave it to this administration to use a shooting against immigrant detainees to score political points and further provoke violence.

We have to get guns off our streets and reject xenophobic and anti-immigrant sentiment that makes all of us less safe.

Rep. Summer Lee, Pa. Democrats call on EPA to preserve climate regulations The administration wants to overturn the Endangerment Finding, which provides the basis for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to regulate pollution that contributes to climate change.

Pennsylvanians are already feeling the effects of climate change through more frequent and severe extreme weather. Hundreds of lives and billions of dollars in damage have been lost.

The EPA must maintain the Endangerment Finding to protect communities from the harms of climate change.

Trump is yet again trying to force "patriotic education" on our kids.

Be serious. We cannot take our lead on patriotism from someone who tries to sanitize and whitewash American history.
