From day one Trump has shown us his corruption and desire for regime change in multiple countries that he has no business being in.

This is an insanely unpopular, dangerous, and illegal act of war. Congress must pass a War Powers Resolution immediately and hold this lawless president accountable.

Trump’s words make it clear he doesn’t care about the safety of Americans and his actions make clear he doesn't care about the safety of the Iranian people.

If he did, he wouldn’t be risking the lives of American troops for the sake of another endless war or trying to turn Iran into a war zone.

Local government is where the change we feel every day takes place. Last night, we brought together local governments from so many municipalities to recognize their important work at the Turtle Creek Valley Council of Governments annual dinner.

It’s past time to ensure that the legacy of the Freedom House is finally recognized at the highest level of government. It’s a long overdue recognition of Freedom House’s service, brilliance, & humanity. It’s an acknowledgment that history does not belong to those with power, but with the people.

To close out Black History Month, I introduced legislation to award Freedom House with a Congressional Gold Medal, one of the highest civilian honors in our country.

Made up primarily of Black residents in 1967, the paramedics of Freedom House became trailblazers in providing pre-hospital and CPR care. Their groundbreaking work became the basis for all paramedics training in the country.
