Join us on April 5 in protesting Ford's plan to rip out the Midtown Yonge Complete Street along with the Bloor and University bike lanes!
Ride in support of safe streets for our kids - and people of all ages. Meet @2pm on the Queen's Park south lawn. Everyone welcome!
I just spent like 20 minutes crawling 2 km down Yonge on a subway replacement bus. They should close the road to everything except buses and taxis when the subway is closed. Cars can just take side streets, right?
Had fun testing out the new Insta360 X4 last weekend on another protest ride against Bill 212. Tiny World Etobicoke! #BikeTO
Sunny, dry, cold but not too cold, wind at my back - a perfect ride to work

Who did this? I am preparing their Order of Canada nomination now.
WHICH BIKE LANE DO WE BLAME FOR THIS TRAFFIC?

Just got a painful preview of what removing bike lanes will feel like.

We need bike lanes, we’re gonna ease a lot of money to just re install them in a few years
The irony. The executive director of Cycle Toronto was unable to attend the media announcement of the Charter challenge. He is in the hospital after being "doored" in an unprotected bike lane on a side street- the type of bike lane promoted by Ford's Government.

You're right - our inner suburbs are underserved by transit and active transportation infrastructure. Scarborough needs priority bus lanes and bike lanes so that getting around without a car is safe and comfortable.

Actually everywhere. When North American cities add lanes, traffic doesn’t get better. The only thing that actually improves gridlock are a combination of bike lanes and better transit. We also have to build cities that aren’t reliant on cars to get around.

— Cycle Toronto, along with individuals Eva Stanger-Ross and Narada Kiondo, have launched a Charter challenge to Ontario’s Bill 212, arguing the law’s mandated removal of Toronto’s bike lanes puts lives at risk.

We've added more supporters to our starter pack! Follow the updated collection here: go.bsky.app/2Vs3Reh
today would be a great day for the @safety.bsky.app account to explain to us why they’re allowing someone to repeatedly use trans women’s bluesky posts to direct harassment towards them from offsite
we really need to hear from you about this @jay.bsky.team @aaron.bsky.team
Want to know what really slows traffic down? (hint: it's not bikes or bike lanes.) Damien explains:

Save our bike lanes and no new highways in the Greenbelt. @fridaysforfuture.bsky.social #bikeTO

Yes they do.
Save Ontario's bike lanes. Major bike lanes in Toronto are in danger.

We suspected as much - the University Ave bike lanes are so beautifully wide! And it's easy for bikes to pull off onto the sidewalk if an ambulance is coming.
The lanes on University, which Doug likes to cite as "causing congestion for ambulances", were designed with the hospitals to be used by ambulances, specifically.
It’s -7°C in Toronto today, but I had to get all the way from my apartment to midtown and then back downtown in under an hour. Thanks to safe cycling infrastructure on the 3 roads Ford wants to tear up, cycling was not only possible but also the easiest and most enjoyable option. No need to drive.
Almost 12,000 Bikeshare trips on the first snowy day of the year. "No one rides in winter" - that's a whole lot of no ones.
