Interesting that despite the huge spike in covid in the wastewater data, I received this in an email last week:

"Toronto has entered a period of lower viral respiratory activity. Sunnybrook has suspended requirements of universal masking in most areas for staff, patients, residents, and visitors."

Just finished it (in two days). Great and informative read, @casinoshiftmd.bsky.social

A graph showing very high levels of covid in Toronto's wastewater.

The Toronto data is crazy high. If you're not masking in crowded indoor places, maybe it's time to start again!

1. A #measles & #flu update.
We're only 9 weeks into the year & the total confirmed measles cases so far puts makes 2026 the second worst year for measles in the past 34 years.
The worst year was last year. But in merely 9 weeks, 2026 has recorded 56% of the entire 2025 total.
Gonna be a bad year.

Don’t let mega-constellation-building billionaires steal your night sky Satellites are wonders of modern technology that have improved all of our lives. But having more than a million of them in orbit could destroy our view of the heavens and seriously damage our planet

Elon Musk has already started plans to launch a million satellites.

Yes. A MILLION.

This is a colossally bad idea, and it's not too late to make your voice heard. I explain everything:

I'm looking forward to the Paralympics in two weeks. We were lucky enough to catch some of the action in the summer games in Paris two years ago, and it was amazing.
