Today's comic, titled Demisexual is by Scribble Toons. It's drawn with anthropomorphic characters (who start the comic out naked!). There’s a brown-tan rabbit and a gray-looking cat. Wild goblins are goblins not in close proximity to a human population. Unlike Rural and Urban goblin populations, they do not scavenge from human resources such as farms, houses, or public utilities, and are hunter-gatherers. Wild goblins may seem ‘feral’ to other goblins, and may not speak a language. Wild populations are home to the most rare and exotic goblin species. You would be hard-pressed to find a single goblin with magical abilities in the city, but they may be found in deep caves or dense forests. Goblins isolated from human populations may barely look like goblins at all, being much more connected with their fae blood. Wild goblins diverse greatly, some appearing quite human or monstrous. The stronger presence of magic may also make them prone to mutation.

The largest urban goblin dwellings typically span many levels, going up to 6 or even 10 layers. Some of the more sophisticated networks can house an entire city’s goblin population. Each level serves its own purpose. The uppermost layers are typically reserved for miscellaneous storage, or housing for those that cannot work, are hostile to others, or generally wouldn’t be missed if something were to happen to them. The uppermost layers of the underground goblin city are at the highest risk of discovery, so anything important is seldom kept there aside from ventilation infrastructure. Middle layers are typically more organized. A layer for housing, a layer for market, a layer for utilities, and so on. Human luxuries are rare and thus highly sought after. For entertainment, a goblin city may have a rudimentary ‘theatre’ that contains a single television set. Gambling may be held in bars. The bottom layers typically serve some kind of infrastructure to keep the dwelling running. Some of the most sophisticated dwellings will have a forge at the bottom layer to provide heat and electricity. People may dig out their own spaces in the underbelly to live if they cannot find space elsewhere, though this is undesirable as they are poorly ventilated; or if in close proximity to the forge, extremely hot.

Rural goblin dwellings are far more isolated, often limited to individual families. Larger underground ‘villages’ do exist, but typically involve several separate dwelling ‘burrows’ in close proximity rather than one large network. Some rural goblin dwellings are even repurposed from actual animal burrows. Rural dwellings are usually spaced several acres from the nearest human village. While urban goblins will often adopt more human-like behavior, such as wearing fancy clothing or learning from human innovation, rural goblins are more detached from human culture and often strongly opposed to it. What they steal from human villages is usually what is easiest or likely won’t be missed. Stealing more valuable items is not lucrative, as it will draw attention to their population and could pose a large risk. Urban populations are somewhat safer against this problem as communities aren’t as close-knit and will often ascribe it to a burglar. Humans in rural communities are also more likely to believe in or to have witnessed goblins first-hand, so will be quicker to consider them as a possibility.
