3️⃣ Invest with intention—not on impulse.
When you’re investing for the long haul, skip the hype (like crypto and Labubus). You MUST invest to beat inflation for long-term goals, but the best investments are the simplest ones.

But start by saving $1,000 in a high-yield savings account, so you’re covered when work slows or life happens.

2️⃣ Build your buffer.
When your income is DIY, you’re your own safety net.
Have a high-income month? Save the surplus beyond your basic expenses in a high-yield savings account. Ideally, you’ll want to save both an emergency fund AND an income buffer for slower months.

1️⃣ Spend less than you earn.
It’s the golden rule of personal finance, especially if your income is unpredictable.
Build your budget based on your lowest-earning month. Whenever you earn more, save the surplus so you can smooth out any income gaps later. Consistency beats intensity every time.
