31.07.2025 06:16 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0That their first “show” is one based on Ai tech companies and their CEOs says a lot about this content farm…
Honestly I see this at best, being a one week trend then failing spectacularly, as it should.
Screenshot of a social media interaction between an ai company (@fablesimulation) announcing Amazon investing in them, and @kortizart asking the following “ Hello. I have a few questions if I may. 1. What foundational models are being utilized? 2. How were those models trained? 3. What data was utilized? 1 Thank you.”
Anyway I need media to be better because we’re in a critical era were fawning coverage does not cut it anymore (and this isnt a Variety issue, this is a every outlet I saw reporting on this issue)
On the hellsite I started the questioning myself
x.com/kortizart/st...
This is true of Open Ai, this is true of Runway ML, this is likely true for Showrunner too.
So when mega companies, double down on investing on tech built like this, they double down on exploiting creators whose unwilling data trained the models, and on the potential illegalities of it all.
Its 2025 and we now know so much more about how GenAi models function. Once you enter general purpose model land (where models can generate whatever you ask it to) we’re talking about using billions of data to train these models, and that means using ill-gotten data.

But nowhere do I see key questions answered like what’s the foundational models? How are these models trained and on what data is it trained upon?

Friends, we got a call to action 👇
We have the right to know when and how our creative works are used, especially when it comes to GenAi!
This is why we need regulation like California’s Ai Copyright Transparency Act #AB-412 !
If you agree, especially if in CA, please sign & share this petition!

Resistance works and it's not for nothing
For professional concept work I do it exclusively digitally. It’s speed is invaluable.
But for myself, I do traditionals, pencils and oils. :)
Hee hee yes lol

And another, with a more flowy and ethereal vibe than the rest:

Here’s an unused concept of Rio Vidal—brilliantly played by Aubrey Plaza— I got to work on for #AgathaAllAlong.
This was a fun character to play with, and it was interesting to see how we could incorporate roots, earth and decay into both her human and skeleton designs.
It’s important to expose pedophiles and their crimes. It is ESPECIALLY important to do so if it’s the president, and even more so if that president is a fascist.
Please let’s not make this the defining Dem ideology any further, its tone deaf👇
Watch this US citizen being arrested. He says: "I got rights." The officers say: "You've got no rights." Then they say: "THEY're starting to resist more. We're going to end up shooting some of THEM." Who is THEM exactly? Racial profiling cops deserve to be in jails.

28.07.2025 02:11 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0All the dire implications notwithstanding it is hilarious how evil this technology is. Billions of dollars spent on this greasy lying stupid thing that was literally built to replace people, and everyone that uses it gets weaker, lazier, dumber, and sadder for having done so. Well done all around.

Also had any of them been chosen, I would’ve done another pass to refine and think about the areas even further, so as to make it easier for any team to make them real! :)

Then I go ahead and do a lot of doodles and explorations, and its how I end up with different options :) almost like making my own paper dolls lol
I think everyone has their own journeys, and we shouldn’t really compare. I also think the life of a machinist sounds awesome af!
However I will note there are plenty of artists who started later in their lives and have made an excellent living out of it! Its hard but it is a possibility!
I mean I hesitate to make that direct comparison for a few reasons, but I totally agree that we’re absolutely witnessing digital colonialism in action.
