Here's some extremely dark, depraved and disturbing forbidden knowledge for ya: Did you know... That Everyone's naked under their clothes :0000.

In all seriousness though I'm getting pretty tired of this performative puritanism trend.

We don’t talk enough about how morally depraved the tech industry turned out to be. Every single ounce of their self-regarding statements of values was an outright lie.

Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and we’re doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs

Oh god no we're kinda cooked. The world'd economy is dependent on like 7 tech giants that owe each other an unimaginable sum of (imaginary) money none of them have. They just can't keep up with the demand.

It's going down hill (again), and us regular folks will have to pay for all of it (again).

And when the economy recovers prices stay the same anyway.

That's true. During a recession, or right before one, prices generally (albeit foolishly) rise. It's been proven time and time again that increasing prices just leads to lower consumption, which in turn leads to even higher prices. Why? Greed.

Is starting an outlaw gang the cure to male loneliness?

In all seriousness though the game caters to all my repressed male fantasies of riding horses, shooting guns, skinning deer in the west with the boys™️. And I'm here for it.

At both Silent Hill and Iron Lung the people sitting next to me in the theater were vaping, and this is a sign to me that gamers have gotten too comfortable in society

Batman: The Animated Series is probably one of the best examples of the fact that if you don't talk down to your young audience and instead give them cool adventures and themes to chew on, they'll remember your show forever.

I've bought games, consoles and accessories from Japanspel before. They're based in Sweden. Very knowledgeable about their stuff. I've seen RGB modded famicons on there before.

The only crux is that they only sell Japanese consoles and games.

Just saw someone say that FF7 Remake needs a remaster. Dawg I'm about to eat my shoes. No game released after like 2009 "needs" a remake.

Old games look a bit old, and that's OKAY.

I know that a lot of straight, white, cis men on reddit like to think of real-world fuckery as just hypothetical situations and plot devices that don't affect real-world people for fucking real --- but come oooon. It's just shamelessly entitled behaviour

I'm also just genuinely curious what people *actually* mean when they say "It was just for shock value". When is a cruel act or fate for an innocent person justified? *Why* does it have to be justified? Isn't it kinda fucked up to go "Oh here's a PAYOFF for that shitty thing that happened."

I've also learned that many people who "love reading horror stories" just... Don't enjoy writing. Not as in they don't write, but they have no interest in reading, and will call any story with flowery, wordy prose "pretentious" and "errm, 🤓☝️actually bad for the pacing."

Being semi-active on horror story boards and listening to creepcast a lot has taught me some valuable things.

Many people that "love horror stories" just don't like scary things. At all. "x didn't have to happen, it was unnecessary and just for shock value."- That's the point! It's uncomfortable!

Crisis Core was pretty cool! I definitely see how it influenced the FF series going forward with the combat mechanics/direction.

It was also pretty cool to learn Zack's backstory, though I didn't care much for the execution/delivery personally.

Mostly AAA titles this year, old and new. My most played games were Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3. I chalk that up to getting a new PC this year and wanting to bask in high fidelity. Next year I want to play many more indie games.

On the radar next year is Pathologic 3 and Death Stranding 2

On this day,I played Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (AKA Super Donkey Kong 2: Dixie & Diddy) developed by Rareware (when they were still cool) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (AKA Super Famicom) and released for the console in question in the year of our lord and saviour, 1995

Screenshot of Ryu Hayabusa during a cutscene in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. He's pointing behind himself and saying his best quote ever, as stated in the subtitle: 'Tell me about the dinosaurs.'

Imo the story really is "good" all things considered. It's *at least* as good as NG2's story
