Thanks! Both have their own beauty!
Yeah... Agree ๐
Autumn does have that way of feeling quiet and spooky!
Autumn ๐ vs Winter โ๏ธ
The same scene, four months apart.
Do you have a preference?
Thanks Rob
So good Paul!
Thanks so much!
Thanks Dylan!
Thanks very much Tom!
Thanks Dave
Thank you Armand!!
Thrilled to announce my portfolio โWoodlands Throughout the Yearโ has won the British Seasons category of the 2026 British Wildlife Photography Awards. My bluebells image is highly commended in Wild Woods too.
Over 13,000 photographs were entered, so to be awarded is something Iโm really proud of.
Forest mood from the weekend fog ๐ชพ
I loved this young tree surrounded by its older siblings. The light was truly spectacular, and made this composition really work. The green growth on the hillside are bluebell shoots, and I canโt wait for them to bloom.
Forest mood.
Thanks Armand!
Thanks so much! Who knew clouds could be so photogenic ๐
Views from above the clouds. Pastel colours at sunrise ๐
I ran around the woods like a headless chicken photographing โthe lightโ before work today with limited time. It was definitely worth it!
The light this morning was superb. Walking through old woodland with birds chirping, the bluebells & wild garlic shoots poking through, & the incredible smells of the forest waking up just cannot be beaten. It clears negative thoughts & fills me with joy. I hope this photo helps do that for you too.
One from this morning during some rather thick fog. The buds are on the trees ready to open now - it wonโt be long until the woodland transform into their springtime states. Iโm very excited for it!
Love it!
Huge congrats Christoph! It's a stunning capture, well done!
The layers during this misty sunrise were rather special.
Thank you Dani. Perhaps unsurprisingly, number 2 has won a couple of big awards for me. It was truly spectacular and I'm so glad I captured that moment.
Thanks Dave!
I captured these one year ago today on the 1st March 2025. One of my most memorable mornings out in nature, where the conditions and light combined into the most spectacular photographs. It still feels like yesterday.
Pines in the clouds.
Thank you!!
That's such a good point! How interesting.
One thing to mention - I actually didn't have a reference back for this - I just could remember the composition in my head ๐ so I did my best and took a couple to ensure I got the angles right! But you're right, I should have just checked my digital copy!
