#ilariasalis is safe out of Orban's sights. The #EuropeanParliament has rejected the request to uphold her immunity.

(It was a close call tho, only 1 vote gap. Democracy is still on the very edge)

It's very individualistic power politics, and you can see that even by the increase of common votes between S&D and ECR: for opposite reasons, at some point they are trying to stop EPP from running Europe by itself

EPP is using the far right like a battering ram to break into negotiations, giving the progressives no leverage on the numbers. Thus, they can avoid working on compromises within the perimeter of the pro-European and Green Deal majority

The difference is that in the last mandate EPP and ECR were teaming up more coincidentally. Now it has become intentional as part of a very dangerous strategy from EPP
