It's just two words, but a personal favourite find in a medieval manuscript is this signature of Anne, a princess of Kievan Rus and Queen (Regent) of France.
Written on a 1063 charter, it reads "АНА РЪИНА" ('ana rъina' ~ 'Anne Queen'). The language is Old French, but the script is Cyrillic!

It's not only that, I think. It also leads to unexpected combinations of ideas. For example, when reading fantasy, I feel that the constructed nature of the worldbuilding (build on specific premises) serves as a laboratory of how societies can work. Which can lead to me asking new questions
Non-fiction during the day, fiction in the evening. So, counting pages non-fiction takes the lead, counting full books I read more fiction. I love fiction for inspiration, relaxation, getting different ideas and I would say that my research benefits from it (though I can't really explain why)

Wie könnt ihr Autor*innen konkret stärken? Indem ihr sie via Patreon, Ko-Fi, Steady unterstützt – wenn sie da Accounts haben. Oder indem ihr die Printbücher kauft, am besten im lokalen Buchhandel oder über Shops, wie den von der Autorenwelt, wo Autor*innen doppelt verdienen.
