I cannot, during these horrific times, recommend enough the importance of making pockets of time to just do things that are not related to anything but the joy of being alive and playing. You need it. You do. It will keep you whole. Which we need. We need you whole.
People are dumb…even the ones on my side. They are ignorant of how any of this works….and they are very, very loud about how little they understand.
And I am fucking tired of it.
I know that I need to spend more time with friends…but I’m also an introvert and socializing gives me anxiety.
So I guess I’m just gonna be alone and hate myself.
I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

My desire to stay informed is currently being challenged by the large number of windup merchants currently proliferating on all sides of the political spectrum.
Everybody’s pissing on our collective leg and telling us it’s rain.
I thought that if I eliminated much of my social media presence I’d feel better…and to an extent I do, but I’m realizing that half the problem is me.

Something to remember: a lot of what regressives are trying to do is functionally to put the genie back in the bottle. A difficult task at best, but additionally this genie has gotten used to being out…and the bottle is full of holes as well.
I’m glad that I went to the event…it’s definitely good to spend time offline with likeminded friends, but damn if it wasn’t a lot…and a visceral reminder of empty spaces in my life.
