Wooooo! Now I basically have no reason to follow KC any more! #NFL
Story for @al.com about magazine cancellations and the fundraiser: www.al.com/education/20...
You probably remember UA cancelling two student magazines last year. They've returned with new names. I'll be following up. Looks like Selene had a launch party last night. I'm also posting one of my stories about the cancellation. www.linkedin.com/posts/alabam...
Honestly, I was skeptical but it features @charalanahzard.bsky.social so I'm down.
Your ego is something you will constantly battle against in the process of writing and serving your ego above all else as a writer will hold you back and make you worse. If you write to impress your desire to be liked will ooze across the page.
Someone made a documentary positing what I tell everyone all the time.
Where. Is. My. Check? (In bitcoin, of course. J/K J/K it's a scam.)
Just ahead of #Oscars, Alabama lawmakers will take up prison oversight legislation inspired by @ALsolutionfilm. An 8:30 a.m. hearing is scheduled Wednesday into SB316, which creates oversight that has bipartisan support. More: www.al.com/news/2026/03...

I can barely type this. My hands are shaking. Expect a story soon.
You can find this local education reporting only on @al.com. I don't think anyone has taken time to aggregate statewide hazing data. I do it so you don't have to!
Having a bit of #SXSWEDU FOMO but still excited about going to @edwriters.bsky.social seminar this summer. #JournalistSky
So far, in Alabama, all of the reported hazing incidents took place within a Greek organization: https://www.al.com/news/2026/03/17-hazing-incidents-reported-at-alabama-universities-in-2025-what-the-numbers-show.html??utm_campaign=aldotcom_sf&utm_medium=social&utm_source=bluesky

Now I'm shopping on Costco.com. It's spreading!
Wait, what?! @megacrit.com how in the world are these scores even possible?! #SlayTheSpire2
I think a lot of us millennials & older really take it for granted that we were the last of only a couple generations where there was an all-encompassing campaign to encourage literacy. Everyone used to agree upon it. There were commercials with your favorite celebrities just being like, "READ!"

In recent years, Alabama has reworked its school funding formula so that low-income schools get more support.
Happy International Women’s Day, especially for the many amazing women in tech and accessibility. Those who make a difference for everyone’s benefit and deserve more recognition, respect, and safety than the gaming industry provides.
Things have been a lot, and since I had a month-long birthday for #BHM, I designated March 8, International Women's Day, as my un-birthday! Y'all celebrate with me by sharing your cutest pet content.
Seeing lots of posts about Sonny Burton, but no local coverage!
Let me fix that.
Here's a gift link to @al.com's Savannah Tryens-Fernandes recent interview of Burton after sending a clemency petition to the Supreme Court.

Happy International Women's Day to the original International Woman
Watching spring forward happen in real time is gut wrenching but looking forward to longer days.
Wishing ALL the women (ALL OF THEM) around the world a happy International Women's Day!
May women's rights continue to make further progress in our societies! 💛
our team is TOTALLY blown away by the amount of people who have been playing & sharing their love for the game we've been working on for the past half decade.
we're excited to continue to make StS2 the best that it can be!! 💪

Completely ignore all evening responsibilities.
Timothée Chalamet is an *incredible* actor. His acting in Dune is so gripping and understated. And he's just so....odd. Maybe he deserves an Oscar? I didn't see his nominated role.
Since 2025, colleges must report hazing incidents annually.
I compiled violations from Alabama colleges and universities and zoomed in on one incident that's being litigated. Been tinkering with this one for a bit, so check it out!

Why do arms dealers advertise? In Washington, this stuff is so common nobody seems to notice. But to those of us from the rest of America? It’s kinda weird. And telling.
Sixty-one years ago today, on Bloody Sunday, Alabama law enforcement attacked peaceful civil and voting rights marchers at the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma. They broke John Lewis’s skull. 🗃️ #EduSky nmaahc.si.edu/explore/stor...
