I can't believe I waited this long to read The Amber Spyglass... this book... is so good but so heartbreaking...
They're just pregnant throughout the book and the climax doesn't revolve around the inconvenience of childbirth in a public place, a subversion of Chekov's Pregnancy
Can someone do the provocative thing and write a book with a pregnant character but they DON'T give birth at the end of the book
