Today marks Lesbian Visibility Day in Sri Lanka. Its a vital movement for celebration, solidarity, and awareness within the Sri Lankan LGBTIQ+ community. It’s about making lesbian women seen, heard, and valued in a society where visibility is a powerful form of advocacy.

A democracy that excludes LGBTIQ people is not a full democracy. True democracy means representation, protection, freedom, participation, and accountability for everyone, without exception.
