The volume of empty storefronts is anxiety inducing. (Photo is a harbinger) It's everywhere, burbs too, have you driven down Dempster, Peterson, Milwaukee? Dead retail space is ubiquitous and makes one wonder how it'll even be possible to make up for the shortfall in tax revenue.
