I have seen a lot of cursed stuff in my time in academia but this is among the *most* cursed.
Grammarly is generating miniature LLMs based on academic work so that users can have their writing ‘reviewed’ by experts like David Abulafia, who died less than two months ago.

I don't know. One other time it turned out the police officer lost his licence and was driving without one..for two weeks...

Unfortunately I do mean all these people died. Latest was an armoured police car on its way to pick up a foreign diplomat, went 100 km/h with no sirens in a 30 km zone, killed a man who was on the pedestrian crossing. 5min from my house.

It's awful.
