The real knee slapper:

"The Trump Administration, however, is committed to accountability and transparency for the American people."

I'm literally writing the words "information lockdown" in all my stories because all government agencies I cover have stopped providing it.

EPA Press Office Fact Checks the Washington Post’s Coverage of Waste & Abuse of Taxpayer Dollars | US EPA EPA News Release: EPA Press Office Fact Checks the Washington Post’s Coverage of Waste & Abuse of Taxpayer Dollars

If this is the future of public information about the U.S. gov's affairs, we've got problems.

"radical left and the Washington Post"
"Washington Post’s absurd reporting"
"The Washington Post can continue to defend the radical left’s lunacy"

Real @EPA PR.

‘Absolutely concerning’: More CWD-killed elk found at second Wyoming feedground - WyoFile Weeks after the first ever detection at a state-run site, two infected cows died at Bondurant’s Dell Creek Feedground

Chronic wasting disease existed in Wyoming elk for 39 years before it was detected on a WGFD feedground, which houses super-concentrated herds in the same small spots year after year.

Now there's been 3 cases on 2 feedgrounds in 2 months. Not good.

Bridger-Teton rangers, trail techs purged in Trump administration's sweeping cuts Workers worry about impacts to trails, wildfire operations after firings.

“You think you put in an honest day’s work, you treat people right, you’re going to get a fair shake. That’s not the case here. People are working hard and they’re getting good reviews and they love their job and they’re getting fired."

Valentine’s Day massacre: Uncounted throng of Wyomingites fired by Trump administration - WyoFile The government has yet to disclose how many lost their jobs, despite repeated inquiries. Many of those affected, however, shared their stories, and their fears for the agencies they once served.

I’m proud of my @WyoFile team for digging into the stories of the hundreds Wyoming residents who lost their jobs the last couple days.

Heartbreaking, indiscriminate downsizing that is uprooting individuals and families and crippling federal agencies.

https://wyofile.com/mountain-lion-eradication-bill-backed-up-a-tree-by-overwhelming-opposition/

Lion houndsmen, sporting groups, conservationists and regular folks took a stand against a Wyoming Legislature bill that would have stripped @WGFD's authority over managing mountain lions, requiring unlimited killing instead.

The idea appears to be dead.

GOP-led Congress could toss Rock Springs plan in 2025 using an unprecedented move - WyoFile The Congressional Review Act has historically been used to overturn national rules, not federal land use plans, but the pieces are in place for a novel application.

Lot of buzz in environmental circles about this:

@BLMWyoming's near-final plans for 3.6M acres of SW Wyoming could be killed by the GOP-led Congress under Trump II using an oversight instrument that's never been used to intrude into federal land use planning before.

If you build it, will sage grouse come? Wyoming is about to find out. - WyoFile Ambitious, costly, science-driven effort is underway to recreate a functional sage grouse lek in the Shirley Basin.

A long-closed Shirley Basin uranium mine is now proving ground for a lofty goal. Wyoming reclamationists are trying to demonstrate that they can build the habitat — nesting areas, security cover, even a lek — that sage grouse require to survive.
