7 hours after reporting breakdown to Nissan Assistance I am still waiting for help. The app says I still have another 2-6 hours to wait before it arrives! As a female travelling alone I hoped for support. It is bad enough that a 18 month old car just suddenly breaks. 13 hours wait #Nissan #TheRAC
In Wales I find myself a curriculum designer and an IDP (EHCP) writer, identifying needs and provision required alongside full time teaching! Ridiculous!
Both my parents were teachers. When I was a student holidays were spent helping in school. After uni I went to work as a museum curator. First in a small local museum doing everything including education then in a large national as a curator. I missed school visits so decided to train as a teacher.
Love this
Unfortunately this is so true. My mum was always known by her middle name and this is what we experienced. It made her confusion and anxiety much worse in hospital.
I taught KS3 last year. This year I’m going to have a KS5 class!
Anyone here work in a secondary specialist school?
Unfortunately, I have experienced something similar but I went on supply and found some wonderful schools and a much more humane for approach for both staff and students in Wales.

Heaven in Her Eye by John Milton
Grace was in all her steps,
Heaven in her eye,
In every gesture,
Dignity and love.
Yes but I still enjoy teaching which does surprise my ex teacher friends. I have had a variety of roles. I have taught mainstream primary F1-Y6 then SENCO, after that I moved to special primary and then moved to a secondary special school. All very different roles - I start post 16 in September!
Lots and they are now coming around again! It can be hard not to seem cynical!
I think things are beginning to change. I just met up with my extended family and no one said this! In fact they were amazed that I was still a teacher. I am about to start my 31st year.
What a beautiful calming colour.
Just home from my Mum’s funeral. Feeling relieved it went well and I managed to stay calm. She got the ceremony she wanted-a celebration. Even though I smiled through it I miss her so much.
Good morning everyone, I am so pleased to find that my feed here is so positive. What a breath of fresh air.
