Sorry about your pup! Part of the reason I got her was because of the older dogs. I was getting anxious about how it will be when they aren’t here anymore. At the same time, puppies are like babies. They’re tough to handle.

I don’t know if I can do it again. I had my last baby 25 years ago.

I bought a ramp for her since this video was taken. No, don’t excuse the messy house. It’s usually worse. #jackrussellterror #puppy #dogs

But I think I’m hooked. I have two older dogs, other breeds, and her. i can’t have another dog right now. But one day, I want another JRT even if she’s a demon. I love demons, apparently.

If you self-publish, your first book won’t get much traction. On the upside, that one download you get when you break down and offer the book for free will be cause for massive celebration.

Unpopular opinion: Don’t push through and finish a book you hate, especially when you first start writing.

Find a story you like and tell it. When you find that story, you might have to delete 20 chapters and restart from the first scene, but you’ll finish it.

The age gap freak-outs put us a step away from requiring young women to have chaperones and having their fathers arrange their marriages.

She’s an adult who is responsible for all of her actions, including supporting the destruction of the republic.

I’m sure you’ll find a twist.

As a reader… I got accustomed to third person and then read first person present. Going back to third person past felt jarring. It was like going from being in a character’s head to having someone tell you about someone they once knew. I still read both, but first person is more engaging.

Short stories need to pop. Complex characters are the way to go.

Mali loves catnip. She does that loud “I’ve got a sock” meow DC used to do.

I stopped editing my book because some scenes don’t feel right. The fixes I’ve tried aren’t right either.

Reading books in my genre will help open my mind to new ideas.

Poor me. I have to spend all weekend reading semi-trashy romance.

Shh. It’s research.

My money is on the legal system and institutions like the FBI. Congress is worthless. They’ve been handing responsibility to the executive branch for decades.

The democrats *might* fight back with strongly worded social media posts.

I abruptly ended my first draft with a character saying: “Let’s live happily ever after!”

The whole last chapter felt wrong and I’m going to end up rewriting it, anyway.

Future me can handle it because future me loves judging everything past me does.

No one is stopping it. People used to think the CIA dealt with this kind of thing. Now we know how weak our government really is.

I like beginnings. I write more of them than ending.

Working on the ending of my #WIP and it’s rough. I hate endings. I don’t know why I stress over writing it the first time when I know I’m going to come back and write a different one.

One if I’m lucky.

I’ve written five or six different endings for some books.

I put a message up to give some friends time to find me here. I’ll delete my account there in the next week or two. I never really used it.

Is it possible to listen to an audiobook and write at the same time? I keep trying it. I get reasonably coherent sentences written. It helps that I’ve read this book before.
