I made a video essay to break down the reasons behind the abandonment of the Iranians by the left. I’m going to break it down into small segments and post them one by one, hoping it might answer some questions. You can watch the whole 15 minutes on my YouTube channel of course.

Why did the left abandon Iranians in our most dire crisis? Why did they stay silent in the face of a mountain of dead bodies and the most severe massacre in the 21st century by an autocratic Regime? Where are all the activists? We get asked these questions a lot.

I’m not of the left but if I was, I’d feel even worse than I already do. Because on top of everything, there would be a betrayal of my political family. I’m very sorry that @dwhiterabbit.bsky.social has to be abandoned by her political family on top of the rest.
