We can theorize about the Tkachuk brothers being able to read but we can say for sure that Chris Rooney can’t count
"Although she was traded to Montréal during her rookie season..."
What? Boreen was not traded to Montreal.
And while Boreen might not have been drafted in 2023, she was definitely drafted (3rd round by Montreal in 2024).
It took Daryl Watts a couple of weeks, but with her goal against the Ottawa Charge, Watts becomes the first PWHL player to have at least one goal against each of the six teams in the league. #PWHL @pwhlsceptres.bsky.social
So Hayley Scamurra (Toronto) has the opportunity tonight to fill in one of her missing teams as Boston is one of the two teams she hasn't yet scored a goal against yet. That would leave only Ottawa -- and Toronto plays Ottawa on Sunday!
Scamurra (TOR) is missing goals against OTT and BOS
Bach (OTT) is missing goals against TOR and NYC
Vanisova (OTT) is missing goals against BOS and NYC
Adzija (BOS) is missing goals against MTL and OTT
Watts (TOR) is missing a goal only against OTT.
The five players for whom I believe it's currently possible are Hayley Scamurra (TOR), Victoria Bach (OTT), Tereza Vanisova (OTT), Lexie Adzija (BOS), and Daryl Watts (TOR). @pwhlsceptres.bsky.social @pwhlcharge.bsky.social @pwhlfleet.bsky.social
I've posted before about the five players in the race to be the first player in the PWHL to have scored at least one goal against each of the six teams.
That list is composed of players who, while playing for a different team, scored a goal against the team they're on now.

Power rankings with no #2. Brilliant!
Notably, if the Toronto Sceptres win in regulation tonight, and the Boston Fleet win in regulation on Sunday, then five of the six teams in the league will be below 0.500.
(Minnesota would be in 2nd place with 26 points in 18 games for a PCT of 0.481)

The Rivalry Series is wonderful hockey. It's like an All-Star game except it's meaningful and the players are going all-out. #PWHL
Today could be the day! Daryl Watts has the opportunity to become the first player in the PWHL to have scored a goal against each of the league's six teams @thepwhl.com @pwhlsceptres.bsky.social #PWHL #TorontoSceptres
Victoria Bach of the has a chance in tonight's Ottawa Charge game against the New York Sirens to score a goal that moves her closer to being the first player to score a goal against each of the six PWHL teams @pwhlcharge.bsky.social @pwhlsirens.bsky.social @thepwhl.com
A little typo in the six paragraph, there, that could stand as-is though probably isn't the word intended... :-)
Something very cool might happen soon and tonight's PWHL game between the Toronto Sceptres and Boston Fleet could have an impact... #PWHL #TorontoSceptres #BostonFleet
If Scamurra scores on BOS on the 22nd, she'd only be missing OTT...
and if Bach scores on NYC on the 27th, she'd only be missing TOR...
and Watts is already only missing OTT...
So when Ottawa plays Toronto on Feb 1st at least one and possibly all three could be looking for a VERY special goal!
Scamurra (TOR) is missing goals against OTT and BOS
Bach (OTT) is missing goals against TOR and NYC
Vanisova (OTT) is missing goals against BOS and NYC
Adzija (BOS) is missing goals against MTL and OTT
Watts (TOR) is missing a goal only against OTT
The five players for whom I believe it's currently possible are Hayley Scamurra (TOR), Victoria Bach (OTT), Tereza Vanisova (OTT), Lexie Adzija (BOS), and Daryl Watts (TOR) who have all scored at least one goal against their current team.
So which PWHL player will be the first to score at least one goal against each of the league's six teams?
By my reckoning, there are currently five players who have it in their sights, and it's actually possible that THREE of them could all do it in the same game! 🧵
I'm pretty picky about hockey PxP and colour commentators, and I've got to say that I'm really enjoying Gigi Marvin's debut in the Sirens vs Fleet game.
Not just "good for a first time" good but a "legitimate good" kind of good.

Add the option of being able to listen to in-arena audio rather than commentary and I'd consider that an incredibly compelling proposal...
I see what you did there... :-)
That long-ago feeling came back to me this week on Bluesky. It's not just volume; it definitely feels like it has crossed some magic threshold where the burst of all kinds of different activity has changed it into something new and wonderful. (5/5) 🦋
There always came a point in time, though, where enough players were playing and some magic boundary was crossed, and all the market activity suddenly gelled and made the game "come alive". The number of bid and asks wasn't the crucial point; it was the number of different players/viewpoints. (4/5)
The game grew (BaseballStocks, FootballStocks, GolfStocks) and at one point it even had a higher trading volume than the TSE. In the early days, however, when a new contest launched, and only a small number of people were playing, trade offers could sit for could feel like a long time. (3/5)
An important note is that the stock trades weren't simulated; if you wanted to sell a stock, you didn't sell it to the "game", but instead you had to list it for sale at a price you chose and another player in the game needed to agree to buy it for that price for the transaction to take place. (2/5)
Bluesky in the past week or so has reminded me of an experience I had many years ago. I had developed an online game called HockeyStocks where people were able to trade stocks based on their favourite hockey teams and it was structured as a contest with prizes to be won, etc. 🧵 (1/5)
I was thinking the same thing. Ideally, you'd be able to include a verified domain handle but as an alias to your bsky.social subdomain.
I’m very happy that hockey seems to have found a new home! I hope things are going well
A post of mine appeared twice and after I deleted one of them, vanished completely. Here it is again...
Speaking of hockey, I've got to say I'm really looking forward to the upcoming PWHL season. The first one was wonderful, and I'm feeling very optimistic and excited for the second. #PWHL #LPHF
I'm hoping/planning to post some form of analysis or data viz of each of this season's PWHL games, though we'll have to see if the data feed will still be there and if so, what data is included and if it includes any additional information over last year (player shifts would be nice). #PWHL #LPHF
My first post to Bluesky was a little over a year ago, and it wondered if "this puppy can take off". Apparently, it can and it's happening.
In particular, I'm very happy that what feels like a critical mass of hockey people has materialized in the last week or so.
