The interesting thing about "running the government like a business" is that businesses exist solely to serve the people on the top. A government needs to exist to serve its citizens, not its leaders.

People who think like that expose their intentions with this mentality alone.

You spend the entire campaign trying to influence events so that the final boss fight lands on your birthday. Sometimes trying to speed things along, sometimes sabotaging the party to slow them down so that you can hit your power spike when it matters the most
