bluesky ate my thread, but the long and short of it was that a real double blind would require forcefemming dudes, and while i'm personally fine with that, it is also much more unethical to deny trans people lifesaving healthcare interventions. the least incorrect method is a human challenge trial.

I’ve come to realize people think slurs are just words that hurt our feelings. No. Slurs, particularly the N-word, F-word, antisemitic terms etc. aren’t taboo because of that. It’s because historically when these terms are said they precede or pair with pitchforks, torches, lynchings & gas chambers.
