Some idiotic employers are hoping to replace human jobs with generative AI models, but most realize that's absurd.

Smart employers realize they can replace some expensive mid- and late-career pros with cheaper early-career pros leveraging LLM tech to do equivalent or often better work.

Anti-AI extremists are right that LLMs aren't yet qualified to replace them or anyone else.

But, by refusing to become skilled at using generative AI, they're ensuring that they - and anyone foolish enough to follow their AI abstinence lead - will get outcompeted in the market by those who do.

So I suggest you do some self reflection to discover both why it is you got so irrationally angry and how your anger then conjured up a fiction that rationalized itself through attacking a complex trauma survivor.

I empathize with folks in certain professions who've developed an extremist mentality regarding all things related to generative AI / large language models.

Fascinating that people like you don't just hush up after realizing your position is nonsense and, of course, abjectly refusing to ever acknowledge fault. Fragile ego has you saying any manner of nonsense other than "you're right."

We need to ensure, though, that minimization of risks does not continue to morph into internalized ableism, ableist gatekeeping, and - worst of all - shame campaigns against disabled and neurodivergent folks using AI-based assistive tools.

We are seeing a lot of that these days, right?

Stories written about disability AI tech by folks who profit from AI tech should come with warning labels.

Same is true of stories written by authors who feel persobally threatened by AI tools - especially considering how often their stories are excuses for gatekeeping AI assistive tools.

I really do wish people could be anti-ai without making fucked up dehumanising statements towards people with disabilities. You don't need to be demeaning towards people with different cognitive or physical ability than you. You can just say don't use GenAI.

There is NO autism epidemic; we see more autistic people now due to better detection/awareness. Yet the media loves to both-sides this topic.

So, consider the sources: Epidemic-endorsers usually make $$ off autistic people &/or are ableist fucks. Epidemic-rejecters usually support autistic people.
