The Vibe Shift Amongst Apple Developers
User-facing AI is still a debate, developer-facing AI is not. And Apple might be in *real* trouble here without some changes.
The situation with Apple and AI is bad from a consumer perspective. From a developer perspective, it's perhaps far worse.

Still using Twitter the most.
Itβs a mess but while it feels like it ceded certain ground to the others, those others now fight over that ground while Twitter remains a monopoly on what it kept, if that makes sense?
Namely: sports, breaking news, and AI discussion. Hard things to give upβ¦

Watered down (and better for it)
A year later and still no idea how to best approach the splintering of Twitter-like networks. Opening Mastodon and Bluesky shows some good stuff in each place but also plenty of duplication. Result is that I donβt use either of them as much, which admittedly has its upsides (irace.me/watered-down)

Iβm much more optimistic about Mastodon (@irace@mastodon.social) than Bluesky but itβs better to have more options than not.
If youβre primarily over here nowadays, help me understand what you like about it please!

Have you tried Mastodon, out of curiosity?
Really enjoying it over there and trying to figure out how this also fits in.
