Depending on how they are setup, you may be costing them a significant amount of money for hitting them so much more than an average user's traffic. Google won't notice a rounding error on their bill, but you could significantly financially burden a small site that exists for free to the community.

Tech furries, I need you to understand that you may have an incredible idea that involves scraping data from other websites, but scraping from Google, Meta, other giant companies is completely different than doing it to small, independent or community websites. You can't just do it without asking.
