For this report on deportation to Mexico I read dozens of habeas cases involving very similar threat of removal to Mexico of third country nationals. DHS is TARGETING Central Americans with withholding of removal and CAT protection for this EVERY DAY.

A federal court BLOCKED key parts of the Trump administration’s rule that would have gutted immigration appeals.
The rule would have made it harder challenge immigration court rulings that would result in wrongful deportations.
This decision helps protect basic fairness in our immigration courts.

Might also be coming from Denmark, which has made moves to reassess claims and make refugee status temporary, though hasn’t really deported people just thrown them into legal limbo! Created a hostile environment— presumably to coerce them to “remigrate” on their own.

Secretary Landau said this BS about the Refugee Convention at UNGA last fall. That’s not what the Convention said in the slightest. See Article 34 especially.
