CBS News as my go to for news starting in the 1950s. Then Norah O’Donnell took over the evening news and I realized then that CBS had chosen to normalize the decisions to benefit the rich and powerful over ordinary citizens. I stopped watching. Sad to see Margaret Brennan change as well.

The Republicans will never negotiate healthcare in good faith. If you give ground on this critical issue, they will know you will cave on everything. Listen to the people who are being harmed, not the billionaires funding campaigns. Fight the good fight for the American people.

@blumenthal.senate.gov I’ve not seen your response on the Democratic proposal to cave to the Republicans on health care. You know their promise is meaningless. Throwing away healthcare for millions is not worth a short term fix on the shutdown-it just encourages more harmful republican power plays.
Please don’t cave to the Republicans on healthcare. Their promise is worthless, as you know. Yes you might mitigate the shutdown pain in the short term, but you will cause much more pain and loss of negotiating power in the long term. Sadly I’m sure you will ignore our pleas. What a disappointment.
