Not everyone has a passport but responsible adults should already have copies of birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce, etc. you need these documents for other things besides voting. Stop saying it is OK to be irresponsible.

People that already vote will have these items. I should no affect you if you are already registered or have not changed your name. If a man changes address he would also have to provide that information. I really don’t believe that “most” people do not have these records of their own life. I

I disagree. I do not like the idea but if they do not have certified birth certificates, divorce records or marriage licenses they will have a hard time getting their pensions or social security they are entitled to. I also had to produce a divorce and death certificate for my deceased ex husband.

Drop it off in your county ballot box. California notifies you when your ballot was received and counted. I dropped my ballot off in the morning and that afternoon I got the notification.

You should already have copies of these items. It is not difficult to do. Most can be accessed online. Yes, you probably have to pay for them. Pretty irresponsible to not make any effort. You will need these same items for your pension and Social Security.

My passport is not a poll tax, I travel with it. Have had a passport for years.

You can most likely do it online now. It is not difficult to get a copy. I had to get a copy of mine years ago.

You can get a certified copy of your birth certificate from the county you were born in.
