I’m just anxious that even MORE damage will be done if the government is shut down rn 😭.

Regardless of who owns it, it’s a matter of principle. If it were really about “national security” or “data privacy”, how come the EU, with some of the strictest data privacy laws in the world, isn’t facing any apps being banned? And if our gov’t cares so much now, why not adopt the same data laws?

Then why aren’t X or any of the Meta apps up for a ban too?
