Michigan could be 1st in U.S. to license hyperbaric chamber facilities Michigan lawmakers say there is bipartisan support for a package of bills to regulate health and wellness centers that use hyperbaric chambers.

Last week, we introduced bicameral and bipartisan legislation alongside State Sen. Chang, State Rep. Sharon MacDonell, and others to license hyperbaric chamber facilities across Michigan.

If passed Michigan would be the 1st state in the country to do so.

Nobody brought home resources to each & every community like she did. It’s a feat I strive to work towards everyday.

As the only Detroiter on House Appropriations these past 2 terms, I've had the honor of bringing home $$$ to the city of Detroit and EVERY surrounding community.

I was recently interviewed at the Capitol Rotunda about who I admire in my legislative journey. I spoke about the legacy of the late great Honorable Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick. She was known to me as a "True Appropriater."

Let me be clear: there should be no war with Iran. And we need a Democratic Party that doesn’t just take issue with the procedure of starting a war, but is truly committed to ending all forever wars.

We know that Detroit’s children, children in neighborhoods like ours, will be sent to fight this war. We’re tired of seeing families broken and our tax dollars wasted just to further enrich the billionaire class profiting on war. Our tax dollars must be invested in our communities instead.

So proud of Indivisible Downriver/Western Wayne County, Michigan United, and so many others for organizing this event with little to no planning time.

Yesterday, I was invited to speak at the No ICE Detention Facility Protest in Romulus 📣

Over 500 people came out in the winter cold to make their voices heard and say NO TO ICE 💙

This isn't about cutting waste, fraud, and abuse. This is about eliminating resources from Michiganders who need it the most.

I can think of many things where $340M could go towards like helping bring down costs for everyday working families.

Outside of healthcare, the primary change would be to the state's food assistance program & MI residents would have to pay $340M more for administrative costs, etc.

Our Formerly Incarcerated TownHall is TONIGHT 5pm-8pm at the Horatio Williams Center (1010 Antietam Ave, Detroit, MI 48207).

There will be free food, opportunities for healing, fellowship, & dialogue about how the criminal justice system has broken up families just like mine.
