1/ Last night, we held our second Devolved Conversation, this time focusing on #UniversalCredit. Parents and carers from across the UK came together to share their experiences and discuss what changes are needed to make the system work better for families.

I've been in sunny (!) Edinburgh for 24 hours along with the rest of the @safety-nets.bsky.social crew.
IMO there is more need than ever to recognise that we do not have a UK-wide social security system, nor do we have clean lines of devolution to nations or delegation to local authorities.
@safety-nets.bsky.social project now recruiting participants from devolved nations to explore social security across the UK. Seeking parents/carers of children under 18, who receive social security benefits (incl asylum support), for online workshops. £50 voucher as thanks.
