Update on Dad:

He's coming home today! They are giving him another bag of blood, right now. So that will push him over the level 8 they wanted him to be at. They've told him to keep the appointment with his GI doctor on the 18th and followup with regular blood work.

So they are going to do another bag of blood today and as long as his blood level trends above an 8, they will be sending him home. So looking at later today or possibly early tomorrow at him coming home.

Update on Dad: He spoke with his Gastroenterologist's nurse practitioner. The doctor and the emergency scope doctor spoke, they agreed he doesn't need a scope at the moment because it was trace amounts of blood in the stool sample. They are getting him in on the first cancellation, however.
