After fighting at Normandy and The Battle of the Bulge my grandpa raised a big family in the woods in NW WI and just made a living off the tourists, doing whatever he pleased. Had a deer petting farm at one time, did a little this and that with the mafia.

i bartended for 20 years through my undergrad and masters- and while my husband did the same. It turned out to be my most formative experience.

When we decided to house hunt in a rural area we found a lovely place but did not pursue it because the house just down the road had the most gigantic confederate flag I had ever seen plastered to it 😬
