update: i had to shove past him to get my bag off the carousel
i love when you’re standing a couple of feet back from the baggage carousel like a normal person so other people can get past if they see their bag and a man comes and stands directly in front of you. like are you offering to retrieve my bag for me or you just literally don’t register my existence?

change of plans I’m flying through JFK because the layover is safer AND it means I’ll be in delta one 😎 plus the risk of getting trapped at JFK feels better than Indy. Now landing at 8p tho when the whole goal of changing my flight in the first place was to avoid landing at 7:30p lol
also I have a 30 min layover so just praying I don’t get stranded in Indiana
after i had paid to upgrade my ticket too. and now i’m flying through indianapolis and landing at 6p
changed my flight from 12:30p to 7a so i would get home earlier only to have them cancel my flight at 4:30a as i’m on my way to the airport 🫠

for sure, i noticed it at spring training
the past 18 months have been very stressful and busy and exhausting but goddamn does it all feel worth it this week to see so many people happy and excited about the work my team has done and to know multiple people i really look up to trusted me to be the person leading this product
i do not dream of labor, but if you have to work: goddamn is it cool as fuck to love your job

there’s absolutely nothing more important to me at work than my engineers liking me and respecting me so this is literally like being told i won the fucking nobel prize
he also said that yesterday during the launch he told someone i was like chatgpt because people kept asking me questions “and you just answered them so fast, no hesitation” and then my engineering manager lost his shit laughing bc he knows how much i hate AI lol
one of my lead engineers said when he met me for the first time in warsaw he got back and his team was asking what i was like and he told them he was blown away by me and he thought i had an engineering background which is the actual BIGGEST COMPLIMENT I COULD EVER RECEIVE
so so so so emo. just went out with a ton of coworkers to celebrate the launch and people kept cornering me all night to say the nicest things about me 😭 like people I wasn’t totally sure even liked me were saying no one else could’ve done what I did with the product and the timeline
