Hope you feel better soon! I’ve had this horrific cold for the past week. Getting better but a sore throat and a wheezing cough remains 😫

I volunteered to take the kids soft play for an hour or two. It means that I get some time by myself ☺️

Been spending all day prepping for a 8 dayer starting on Mon. Loads still to do and was planning on working late tonight but decided that as there is a bit to go I should take the rest of the night off and start again tomorrow.

After breaking my foot leaving the ground last week I remain in pain. Frustrating. Unable to walk far so no running or gym for me. I had to obtain a fit note for the judge so that I could attend a hearing remotely.

On the positive side, i’ve gotten out of doing the school run for a bit…

The US clearly wanted MAGA: popular vote, electoral college, senate, house of reps, supreme court, various abortion amendments defeated… They didn’t want any checks and balances against a 2nd Trump presidency.

Dems have a lot of soul searching to do.

Once asked a secretary to “please post this” meaning a letter to the other side. I had put it on top of the paper file.

I was shocked to receive the same paper file in the post accompanying with “we don’t think you were meant to post your client’s out to us”. It included counsel’s opinion too 😬

Not unnecessary but my suit jacket. In the summer, I set off for tribunal without the jacket. Had to turn around and come back - only just made it in time

I’m in London - can’t get a refund after this postponement. Anyone about? I’m also tempted to go to my inn (middle temple) to work in their library tomorrow and also treat myself to lunch. Being from Sheffield I don’t get chance to visit my inn otherwise.

Got told earlier that my 8 dayer is postponed lack of judges. I’m to go on Monday for a reduced 5 day hearing as there will be a judge (apparently).

Narrator: but its very likely to go part heard (thats why 8 days were needed) 🤦
