Watching Ryan Reynold’s decent from public favour is like watching your high school bully finally learn that those high school manipulations don’t work in the real world and be forced to face the consequences from people who don’t owe you anything and who don’t want anything from you.

Welp it’s time.
Adobe is now so far out of my budget I’m cancelling my subscription in favour of free/lower cost options.

On the plus over the past few years of editing I’m feeling confident I can pick up a new software interface relatively quickly.

Burnout’s a bitch especially when you financially can’t afford to take time off to rest properly.

I’m not the only one.

The system is collapsing and we need UBI and/or a proper living wage ASAP!

I don’t think Americans understand that Canada separating itself from trade and basic alignment with the US is a massive global canary in the coal mine. Other nations will follow quickly. I can foresee the rest of the world isolating themselves from the US, and it falling into civil war.

My best investment advice

As we navigate a new upheaval in western society, I’ve been doing my best to give anyone I talk to hope and perspective - that historically we will see two good things emerge:
- large strides in innovation
- really cool art

I (like most people), am struggling financially. Last night I had a dream I got an intern job with my financial advisor at my bank branch. Somehow she was buddy-buddy with the CEO, who just waved me away and said my debt was cleared.

Is this called manifesting?

Rebuilding my life has been hard.
It’s been a perpetual revisiting of past “traumatic” experiences and rewriting narratives. It’s been really scary and overwhelming, but also has allowed me to rebuild trust and confidence with myself.

It’s been a trip!

Going to start *very* gradually moving away from Meta. I already barely use my FB except to promote shows. IG feels like a harder breakaway.

It’s been said for years, but it’s feeling real now: our dependency on social media as artists is a necessary evil - but there NEEDS or be other methods!

😮‍💨 Like, in business speak, especially around planning, “buyer” and “shareholder” can arguably be interchangeable, but I find it disturbing using it in a space of service or commerce. It places an unrealistic and imaginary power dynamic.

I’m getting SO many videos on my TikTok of people saying that they are “autofollowing” POTUS and VP when they never would! There are some massive and scary shifts that are going to happen over the next 90 days - we need to move accordingly, pay attention, and stay vigilant.

JD Vance keeps showing up as “recommended follow” on all my IG feeds 🤢

Social media is changing. I don’t foresee it serving the people. It’s time to reassess how we connect and communicate - especial as we survive the final act of the American Empire/Capitalism.

It’s been SUPER interesting this the past week to watch the average American realize they’re in the Bad Place.
