Interested to know who your vote-spoiling family would have voted for? Or was it a more general protest against * gestures vaguely at everything*?
Genuine question which I think we'll all have to consider after this count. If spoilt votes are heterogenous and should be examined for meaning.

Times I've wished I was still there = 1, during the election count here in Ireland. I'm begging journalists and political dorks like me to move over here. There is no reason to stay in that cess pool. Please bring your live political news reporting here, that's all I miss.
Yup. I'm a social media consultant, so I really thought for a while that I *had to* stick it out there. But eventually decided no, f*** that. And so far, impact to my business = 0. Times clients have questioned me / my business not being on X = 0.
Happy French Cupcake day! You don't look 75.
This feels such a key part of Harm Reduction. Whether drugs are legal or not, knowing what's in what you're taking and how strong it is is fundamental to whether you're at risk of serious harm or not.
Same applies to beer even. We all know sinking an 8% IPA will mess you up more than a 3.5% lager.

And the transphobes don't even realise their crusade is being used as a distraction while the billionaires hoover up our incomes and destroy our planet. Make sure we keep turning against each other so we don't have time to notice how we're actually being screwed.
You've broken my heart Angela π
Bought! Thank you! X
I'd love to buy the print. Had a quick look on your redbubble but couldn't see it, would you mind sharing the link here?
This is lovely. Are you selling it?
Mick Flannery tonight in Vicar Street was pure magic. Thrilled Susan O'Neill joined for a few tracks too.
My god there are some incredible musicians out there, flying just below the international fame radar but producing insanely beautiful art. We're so lucky to get to experience this. #speirghorm
The Lighthouse in Smithfield does an 11am screening. It's baby-friendly so lights are up a bit and volume down a bit but still perfectly enjoyable for non-baby-owners!

Hot take 1: Hang Dai is overrated.
Hot take 2: Caviar is only enjoyed because it tastes of elitism.
These are amazing Simon. Does your mother sell her work at all? Where could we find it?
I sat in A&E for hours and hours once with a friend who was suicidal. It was horrendous. I was just glad I was there with them, no way could they have coped with it alone. Our system of 'care' for mental health is so broken.

Not delph or bedding, but for furniture you'll get gorgeous (reproduction) retro style furniture at www.salternativefurniture.ie For actual vintage furniture, keep your eyes on adverts.ie and frequent charity shops, you can find great value diamonds out there. Character > convenience.
The US-centricity at Facebook was galling because the focus was always on scalability: bespoke arrangements (on policies, tools etc) couldn't happen at national level because they weren't scalable globally. So the standard to which the whole world had to commit was "what works in and for the US".
Wait til y'all hear about decentralized organizing.
More and more from Serbia! π·πΈ
So, our dictator has used forbidden sound cannon (LRAD) on peaceful protestors. He couldn't stand the success of peaceful protests, so he had to intervene. π€¬

Gahhh my Yugoslav-turned-Irish Bohs-supporting husband would fricking love to see this but is away this weekend π Any chance it'll see another outing?
I lived in Charlotte Quay during the boom years, 2004-5 (while working at Google). Our rent was β¬1,600 for a three bed - three large double bedrooms, two bathrooms, incredible floor to ceiling windows looking out over the dock. We are so far beyond Celtic tiger bougie rents it's baffling.
This is very cool π
Keeping up with the military Jones's ? A shared defense infrastructure makes better sense for everyone (especially small states) except the defense contractors. Let's not fall into their trap.
It's nonsense. There is no way a small country like Ireland can (or should) afford enough fighter jets to defeat any potential air attacker. The better solution is, after NATO dissolves, to join a shared European (tbc wrt the Brits) defense force. We'll need our friends' help (& jets) regardless.
