Funnily enough while you were taking a break from posting videos I was playing SoulSilver in the postgame and managed to find a Shiny Nidorina. She's now a Nidoqueen and I named her Snikpoh, as spelt backwards it reads Hopkins.
That one horror level in A Hat in Time still stands out as a huge tonal shift for me...
It's nice to see that a game that defined so many of our childhoods and was many people's first game can be the first game of a new generation.
Pokemon Day luck is real, I was playing SoulSilver and I managed to find a Shiny Nidorina while hunting Chnasey. It's only the 8th ever Shiny I've found across all Pokemon games, not counting Gyarados and Haxorus.
New Fire starter in Gen 10 is basically Pombomb from Cassette Beasts
Pokemon Winds and Waves is Gen 10 then and it isn't coming out until next year? Well, if the extra year is needed to make an actually good game then take that time.

Think about it, how many people got into games like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade, Legend of Heroes, Persona and any other JRPG series you can think of because of Pokemon? I know for sure Pokemon was a large part of me getting invested into JRPGs.
Happy Pokemon Day everyone. I know the series hasn't been the best it could be as of late but this is still a franchise that defined a generation and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't have gotten into video games or even RPGs if it wasn't for this series.

They even removed the ability to sort by last upload.
Maybe the new games are priced a bit too much but people using the fact that you can emulate them as a price defence.
So basically people believe you shouldn't have to pay for anything, everything should be free and that everyone has the right to use anything however they want.
OK, that's literally impossible, people have already decided what they think about the new games before they've even seen them.
I think with the FR/LG drama we're going off info that we've seen so far and we don't know the full facts until they are actually out.
As Pokemon celebrates its 30th anniversary I am reminded at how this franchise has its fanbase at each other's throats every day and people are always finding something to complain about.
It feels like Game Freak need Gen 10 to be a 10/10 perfect game to actually unite everyone again.
Meanwhile I have several uncompleted Pokedexes from old games I'd be quite happy to try and fill up more. Doing the one for SoulSilver currently.
The 20th Anniversary brought back my Pokemon obsession in a big way and the 30th anniversary could yet do the same thing. The series is just too embedded in my childhood and is why I play games today... but its been going downhill lately and I don't feel the need to get the new games anymore.
You know I'm not really a fan of the fact Youtube was showing me thumbnails regarding the already leaked Generation 10 games which I want to avoid looking up any details before they are officially announced.
Not that I'm necessarily getting it this time. In a Retro Pokemon mood though.
If you've never played FireRed and LeafGreen before because you were born too late for it to be relevant I still recommend playing these games because they still offer a snapshot of what Pokemon used to be like in the earlier days of the series.
Kind of the precursor to the directions modern Pokemon games would take.
Games are still good, don't get me wrong and the post game content they added makes them the definitive Kanto games imo but a lot of the early game stuff has things like control tutorials and other instructions for stuff that is very intuitive.
Amid all the discourse about FireRed and LeafGreen prices I kind of realise these rereleases are mainly for people who never would have had the opportunity to play these games growing up that might be curious now.
I think people forget how much more tutorialised they made these games.
Still working on Rivals of Aether mods btw. I can't share too much at the moment but I'm working on a new heavyweight character and I'm also going to be participating in the Cartoon Jam.
Only 4 more days until the entire Internet starts bashing the Gen 10 reveal.
