Hydranca strikes again. I just wonder whether we are missing a lot of hydralazine induced vasculitis here in our place. Hydralzine+- nitrate is such a big hit among our cardios. Or is there a race predeliction for this? 🀷

2/2 whats against MEST score? it being a snapshot in time? no trial evidence?

15.08.2025 12:36 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

1/2 They say MEST scoring shouldn't inform Rx decisions. But it does, doesn't it? Witha high M/E score you would like to give strong antinflamm rx; you would think twice about giving steroid/mmf with S1/T2 score. So it does influence your choice in a way.

Here in Kerala, India, this would make us think of a viral infection like Dengue. Or even Leptospirosis (but expect the TLCs to be high). Then scrub typhus.
