Hard at work on developing the antagonist of my second thriller. Moments ago, I came up with a name for the killer, and now it's about fleshing out his past.
Today, my focus lies in crafting a fictional persona's past, revealing their development.

Inspiration came from many sources, but I'd say that I wanted to see a book that represented who I am, that spoke to what I find important—also, a middle finger to hatred and bigotry. Next book is about a zealot and conversion therapy. The third one is the firecracker in the munitions depot. :)

I came to writing late in life, after many decades as a painter—long story. I have been writing since 2019. It has taken me about four years to write my debut thriller, 'The Profiler's Shadow'. Sequel is half done and a third in the works.

Hi Rianne, thank you. It is, and as the only Canadian trans woman author of such novels, it's a blast. I just signed with DarkWinter Press, and they have been so very nice. Coming out in November 2026.

My protagonist is a profiler who is brilliant at getting inside a killer's head. But what happens when the killer is already inside hers?

This coming November (just a couple of weeks away), I will enter the last stretch of seeing my debut thriller published through Dark Winter Press.
It's going to be a wild ride, but I am determined to make 'THE PROFILER's Shadow' the number one queer psychological crime thriller in Canada.

This is my second dark, psychological thriller with the same heroine, Mary Dubois. In addition to it being its own story, it's a sequel that has her looking back.

Tagline for my second dark psychological thriller, THE ZEALOT:
A chilling descent into the heart of religious extremism, where faith becomes a weapon and the past refuses to stay buried.
