there's also the fact that "train interior" differs massively per company, per country, per timeperiod etc.

people can recognise an "asset-flip" game and they will say as much to their friends, communities and in the reviews.

the smaller the scope of the game, the more value there is in making it yourself. not just for stylistic purposes, but attribution and control too.

if your game has very little explorable space, you need to be more intentional with it than a large open world where a given scene holds less value

Absolutely. It's also great that because ball joint dolls are rigid you don't have to worry about weight painting for flex. Block out the simple shapes using spheres and cylinders and then you can add in the cuts to make it more doll like
