I can't count on both hands how many games did well criticallly and with players that have 0 nominations but at least it isn't a sweeping list of Switch 2 upgrades and basic remasters I guess

I think a lot of the categories are eh. Ton of games got 1 or no nominations

I don't have much faith in most of the groups that get to choose (it isn't players) + our votes only have 10% weight so...just watching for the game announcements as usual

Sad tho cause some devs deserved acknowledgement

Legend of Legaia, turning it into a quasi fighting game with both a rock paper scissors element as well as ungovernable, secret combos!

Wild Arms 4, using a hexagon style battlefield requiring thought out movement

Resonance of fate, a jrpg based around guns that required proper use of two types of damage dealing to dispatch enemies

Knights in the Nightmare, that was like final Fantasy Tactics mixed with a bullet hell

Just randomly thinking, I hope after the success of Clair Obscur and Sea of Stars that we get more RPGS with additional inputs or even take us back to gimmicky games, I want more experimentation! I love gamifying my games, lol

Still have interest in Legends ZA but can't imagine Lumiose comparing to a multi-biome region in almost any way.

Expecting most buildings to not have entrances (wouldn't it be...offices/housing mostly anyway?) & at this point no extensive catacombs.

If you've never experienced bad tornadoes, forest fire smoke, or 5 month summers with +100F temps for a lot of it they all can suck. Tremendously. Not a fan of earthquakes & don't look forward to ever experiencing a hurricane.

I think it has one of the best plots of a FF game and the gameplay is great. This version adds a lot of smaller QoL features

I will say I would have liked additional content, they could have reworked the PSP version's stuff at least, but the director is oddly purist about the original so...yeah...

I don't think review bombing is the way to go, but can we please collectively annoy Square Enix about giving us full/improved Final Fantasy games? Especially for the prices they're charging?

Or is market demand that high for "original versions"?
