Being me, of course I log everything in a spreadsheet. I logged that I watched What’s Up, Doc? both years but did not log that I watched Re-Animator four times this year.

Last year I made it a point to watch more movies and it’s been a very fun journey that’s caught me up on pop culture moments I missed and taught me a lot about storytelling. Last night I passed 2024’s count of 48 movies!

I saw Iron & Wine live once in 2011 and at the time I was disappointed it was during the tour for his most produced album. Now like once per year I put a song from Kiss Each Other Clean on a ship playlist and it ends up being the thematically significant glue that holds the story together.

Listened to Our Endless Numbered Days by Iron & Wine and was immediately transported to a peaceful autumn walk in New York City on a nameless weekend afternoon

Reading fic in my previous fandom in 2020 was about as exciting as reading the dictionary and occasionally reaching a cool word I’d never seen. In my current fandom I stumble across a novel length fic at least once a week that devastates me emotionally and ruins my sleep schedule.
