We as humans do not need to be aware of every tiny bit of health data about us, we do not need to be connected 24/7, and we absolutely do not need to be constantly reminded by notifications. I’ve been living a much happier and peaceful life since ditching my Apple Watch (4/4)

Since doing that, I’ve first allowed myself to enjoy some of my mechanical watch collection and second been able to identify if the Apple Watch was causing more harm than good.

The short answer is: yes, it was 100% a big source of stress and anxiety in my life.

My thought was:
“How will I know I hit my activity goals, or how long this hike is?” And those thoughts always kept me from embracing my love for peace, and my longing to wear a mechanical timepiece.

A few weeks back, I decided enough was enough and I put my Apple Watch in a drawer(2/?)

Recently, I took a dive into a personal reflection… was an Apple Watch a source of stress/anxiety in my life?

I’ve always been a watch nerd, I love watches and horology. I always found it hard to wear a mechanical watch in the last 6 years of wearing an Apple Watch almost exclusively. (1/?)
