6/ I love being queer and trans but being this version of myself with these people is exhausting in a way I can’t even begin to describe. I’m so grateful that my extended family has shown unflappable support because being the situation with my immediate family is fucking complicated & tiring.

5/ I’m just TIRED. Like so fucking exhausted of it all. What happens once I have top surgery? I really feel like I’m gonna end up being a fucking pariah in my own family more so than I already am.

4/ getting misgendered more times that I can count, whether it was she/her pronouns or being referred to as”girl” like come on all please fucking TRY at least

3/ my brother not letting his son paint his nails. I don’t give a fuck what his reasons are they’re all rooted in misogyny and are fucking stupid.

2/ my SIL wanting to make a joke about the testosterone working when I got a good hit during our game of whiffle ball but she refrained b/c she was worried about making other ppl being uncomfortable.

I’m out of the closet but I’m still the open family secret most don’t acknowledge.

Things during family vacation this week that just fucking sucked. 1. Hearing my brother call the L.A. protests riots and berating people for supposedly “not being peaceful” and parroting every dumbass, bigoted far right talking point.

I simply felt white hot rage & had to get up & leave the room.

It’s only noon and I AM SO TIRED 😭

I adore my family but there are so many of us and so many children that not a single thing about our family vacations is restful 😭 24 hours in and I’m so fucking tired I kinda just want to go home to my empty apartment and my memory foamed mattress topper bed 😞
